Tom Cruise to Shoot Part of Mission Impossible 5 in Morocco

Fez - After resuming his role as super spy Ethan Hunt, Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise is reportedly coming back to Morocco to shoot scenes in the fifth installment of the Mission Impossible franchise.

According to Moroccan website Telquel, the filming of some scenes of "Mission Impossible 5" will take place in several Moroccan cities, where trials[??] were conducted in Rabat, Marrakech, and Casablanca, and the Jewish Mellah was selected to serve as the backdrop for the scenes.

The same source added that the 50-year-old actor will join the team already in place in September.

Last May, however, The Daily Telegraph quoted the American actor as saying that he would be coming to London to shoot Mission Impossible 5. “I’m working on the next mission soon and we’re shooting it here in London,” he was quoted as saying.

Highly acclaimed by Hollywood producers, Morocco is one of the most popular film destinations and home to many successful international films, the most recent being the American film "Son of God,” produced by Roma Downey & Mark Burnett, released on February 2014.
