Tetouan - Four French nationals were arrested, Friday at the border post of Bab Sebta, for possessing 30kg of cannabis resin (locally known as chira) during two separate operations, customs sources said.
In a joint operation, customs and police services seized 19.5 kg of chira concealed in a spare wheel and in a suitcase in the trunk of a foreign-registered car, the customs sources pointed out.
The two smugglers, French nationals of Moroccan origin, attempted to smuggle the banned substance into France via the occupied city of Sebta.
In a similar operation, two French nationals were arrested in possession of 11 kg of chira concealed in the wings and at the dashboard of a France-registered car, while they were attempting to smuggle the drugs into their country.
