Rabat -Minister delegate for foreign affairs Mbarka Bouaida reiterated Morocco's commitment to fostering ties with African countries according to an active, solidarity-based approach, as part of HM King Mohammed VI's strategic vision.
Bouaida, who was speaking at a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Rural Development of Sao Tome and Principe Antonio Alvaro Da Graca Dias, also expressed the readiness of Morocco to further relations with Sao Tome and Principe, especially in promising areas of cooperation such as sea fisheries, vocational training, health, drinking water, tourism, agriculture and transport, mining and energy.
Highlighting the Moroccan commitment to strengthening the legal framework governing relations between the two countries, including through the conclusion of other cooperation agreements, the Minister stressed the importance of the Morocco-Sao Tome Joint Committee as a mechanism for dialogue and consultation for the consolidation of bilateral relations.
Bouaida underlined Morocco's support for peacekeeping and stability initiatives in the African continent and reaffirmed the support of the Kingdom for all actions in favor of economic and social development as part of South-South cooperation.
