Madrid - Morocco was, for the first time, one of the guests of the military parade organized, on Sunday in Madrid, on the occasion of Spain's national day and chaired by King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia.
As a member of the 5+5 Defense Initiative which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, Morocco took part in the event by a standard bearer, a superior non-commissioned officer from the battalion of the Royal Armed Forces' general staff, Spanish and Moroccan military sources told MAP.
The ceremony was also attended by other members of the Initiative as Mauritania, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Portugal, Italy, France, Malta and Spain.
