New York - Morocco's national observatory of children rights (ONDE) and the United Nations millennium campaign have signed a memorandum of understanding in New York, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
An ONDE release says the MoU is a recognition of its efforts to implement the UN convention on children rights, under the leadership of HRH Princess Lalla Meryem, chairwoman of the observatory.
Under the memorandum, the two organizations will formulate a work plan for efficient cooperation to encourage population to be involved in designing the post-2015 development agenda.
The MoU also provides for consolidating the capacities of the observatory which will be provided state-of-the-art tools to follow up indicators of children development goals.
The two sides will also cooperate to formulate a joint strategy to design projects and programs that will help achieve these objectives, as part of a convention to be signed later on the World child day.
