Rabat - Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Yu Zhengsheng, who started Monday a two-day official visit to Morocco, hailed the Kingdom's political and economic achievements.
"Under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, Morocco achieved major progress in terms of economic and social development," said Zhengsheng at a joint press briefing on Monday with speaker of the house of advisors Mohamed Sheikh Biadillah.
The Chinese official said he was glad of his visit which enabled him to examine with Moroccan officials means and ways to further friendship and cooperation ties between Morocco and China.
"I am sure that the close Moroccan-Chinese relations will grow stronger to serve the strategic interests of the two peoples," said Zhengsheng who is also a member of China's communist party.
