Cairo - Morocco called, on Thursday in Cairo, for a road map to solve the crisis in Libya.
Speaking at the extraordinary meeting by the Council of Arab Foreign Ministers, foreign minister Salaheddine Mezouar said that the settlement of the crisis in Libya relies on elaborating a road map that encompasses the security, institutional and development aspects.
He added that the Libyan people cannot accept that the future and territorial integrity of their State be undermined, all the more so because they staunchly opposed colonialism and despotism, underlining that only legality can achieve reconciliation in this country and restore a climate of security and stability.
This legality will be stronger as part of an inclusive framework that brings together all parties to build the institutions of a modern state capable of addressing the challenges of sustainable development, he noted.
Mezouar deplored the worsening situation in Libya that hinders the chances to solve the crisis, undermines the foundations of the Libyan State and poses a threat to the security of neighboring countries.
