Marrakech - The Moroccan-Ivorian Economic Forum, which brings together economic operators and ministers from both countries, kicked off Wednesday in Marrakech.
Themed "Morocco-Côte d’Ivoire: ongoing emergence dynamic", the forum is held on the occasion of the visit of Côte d’Ivoire’s President, Alassane Dramane Ouattara, to Morocco at the invitation of HM King Mohammed VI.
During this visit, Mr. Ouattara is accompanied by the representatives of some 150 Ivorian companies.
Held by the Moroccan General Confederation of Enterprises (CGEM) and the Foreign Ministry, this high-level meeting, which brings together some 500 participants from both countries, includes plenary sessions on multi-sectoral cooperation, co-development and economic and financial integration, in addition to B-B meetings between businessmen of both countries.
This forum is an opportunity to materialize the debate launched at the first meeting held on the sidelines of the visit of HM King Mohammed VI to Côte d’Ivoire in February 2014 and brought together businessmen and government officials from both countries.
King Mohammed VI and President Ouattara chaired, Tuesday at the Marrakech Royal Palace, the signing ceremony of several bilateral cooperation agreements covering various fields.
