Marrakech - Germany has a great interest in conducting dialogue with Morocco and seeks close ties with the Kingdom which has, for years, taken the path of reforms and modernization, German Foreign minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said Thursday.
"We have a great interest in conducting dialogue with Morocco, a country that has, for years, taken the path of reforms and modernization," Frank-Walter Steinmeier told the press following his audience with HM King Mohammed VI at the Royal Palace in Marrakech.
Steinmeier said that during the audience, he conveyed to the Sovereign the invitation of President Johakim Gauck to pay an official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany.
"I told His Majesty that it is with great pleasure that we expect Him in Germany for an official visit," he said.
