Rabat - Morocco and The Netherlands signed, here Wednesday, a memorandum of understanding in energy cooperation.
Signed by Moroccan Minister of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment Abdelkader Amara and Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Koenders, the agreement provides for promoting a sustainable energy model and taking up the challenges of the sector.
It also seeks to strengthen cooperation between government, research institutions and companies in the two countries, so as to step up the implementation of energy policies.
The agreement, which includes natural gas, liquefied natural gas and renewable energy, provides for reforming the energy sector to better open up to markets, promoting a sustainable energy model.
Both parties also undertake, under this agreement, to exchange technical and institutional experiences related to liquefied natural gas and its processing, legal and tax systems, and the development of joint projects.
