Brussels - The resumption of talks between the Libyan parties during this week in Morocco will open the way to a much needed political agreement on a government of national unity in Libya, said, on Tuesday, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini.
The EU and the international community will continue supporting efforts by the UNSG special representative Bernardino Leon to find a solution to the Libyan crisis, the most dangerous one in the southern European neighborhood, said Mogherini in a statement.
The top EU official warned that the crisis in Libya could worsen and have tragic repercussions on all Europe.
All the EU member states show real will to solve this crisis, she said, noting that this issue will be included in the agenda of the informal meeting by EU's foreign ministers slated next Friday and Saturday in Riga.
