Tangier- The Global Dryland Alliance (GDA), a global organisation that endeavours to promote food security and stability in predominantly arid regions, will hold its ministerial conference on May 29-30 in Marrakech.
The conference will tackle issues relating to desertification, poverty and malnutrition as well as famine in arid countries, organisers said.
Created at the initiative of Qatar, the GDA brings together about twenty countries notably from Africa and the Middle East.
The GDA aims at launched projects in fields pertaining to agricultural development and water in cooperation with local, regional and international partners.
