Casablanca - A Sierra Leonean national was arrested, on Saturday, by policemen in Mohammed V airport for the possession of 4.9kg of cocaine.
According to police chief Abdelhadi Siba, chief of the security zone at the airport, investigations conducted under the supervision of the public prosecutor at Casablanca's first instance court, showed that the illegal substance is a very concentrated cocaine.
The Sierra Leonean national is remanded in custody to complete the probe, he said.
The drug was carefully hidden in plastic bags in boxes for dried fruits, said chief of anti-drug cell at the airport Yassine Chouay.
