Brussels - Arab countries should take advantage of the strong, privileged ties between Morocco and the EU to promote the Euro-Arab dialogue, Malta's former foreign minister Michael Frendo said on Tuesday.
The Kingdom is a very interesting example for many Arab countries which seek to reinforce their relations with Europe, Frendo told MAP on the sidelines of a conference on Euro-Arab dialogue, held in Brussels.
Morocco's advanced status with the EU is an undeniable asset which could be useful for Arab countries to develop multilateral ties with Europe, he added.
Malta's former parliament speaker also affirmed that Morocco represents a different model of development in the context of the Arab spring as it had anticipated changes and undertook reforms that meet the people's aspirations.
