Rabat - Eight of the best young Moroccan artists are participating in an artistic program in the United States co-organized by the Moroccan-American Commission for Educational and Cultural Exchange (MACECE) and the U.S. Embassy in Rabat.
The program aims to teach the Moroccan artists about U.S. culture and contemporary art through the experience of American artists and their major role in the development of society.
The Moroccan artists will also seize the opportunity to unleash their skills and show the American art specialists the potential of Moroccan art. They will also visit Washington, DC, Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York.
The program includes eight creative artists: Marouane Sitti, Mohcine Ennou, Abderrahmane Doukkaneand, Amine Slimani, and plastic designers Fahd Bouksimi, Yasmina Ouahid, Rachid Ouhnni, and the painter Asmae Bennani.
They were selected after a competition co-organized by MACECE and the US Embassy under the theme “I Have A Dream”.
The artists’ photographs were taken in front of the US Capitol Building, and Smithsonian Institution of American Art, and the National Portrait Gallery.
