Marrakech - Moroccan carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) received on Thursday a new ATR 72-600 aircraft, bringing to 48 the number of its fleet.
The new plane, a sample of which is exhibited by the RAM at the "Marrakech Air Show 2014," was purchased by RAM Express, a subsidiary air company of RAM. This is the fifth engine by the French-Italian aircraft manufacturer ATR owned by the national air company.
It will reinforce the fleet of RAM Express operating domestic and international flights mainly towards Spain and Portugal.
The ATR 72-600is a twin-engine turboprop short-haul regional airliner. The aircraft seats up to 78 passengers in a single-class configuration, and is operated by a two-pilot crew.
