Rabat - King Mohammed VI, received, Tuesday at the Royal Palace of Tetouan, Lord Mayor of London, Fiona Woolf, who is on working visit to the Kingdom, said a statement of the King's office.
The Lord Mayor is the main spokesperson for all London-based businesses, which mostly include financial institutions and related professions, the same source said.
This visit is an opportunity to develop cooperation and create synergies between the financial institutions of the two countries for the development of economic activities, and to the benefit of the African continent, based on a fair and equitable approach that generates growth, shared prosperity and human development.
Morocco, which has capitalized on its potential to create economic opportunities for international investors in several sectors, is committed to pool its efforts with London's financial institutions to serve the economic interests of both countries, the statement said.
The favorable business climate, which is the result of the progress made by the Kingdom, under the wise leadership of the King, in the institutional, economic and financial fields, as well as the dynamism and expertise of the Moroccan private sector, particularly its financial operators, can make of Morocco a regional financial hub.
On this occasion, three agreements were signed between the "London Stock Exchange" and the Casablanca Stock Exchange, the statement added.
