Tétouan - A Belgian national was arrested, on Tuesday at the border post of Bab Sebta, for possessing 13.5 kg of chira (cannabis resin), customs services said on Wednesday.
The members of the customs services found the illegal drug hidden in the engine and seats of a Belgium-registered car driven by the foreigner who is born in 1947.
The accused was attempting to smuggle the drug into the occupied city of Sebta then to his country of origin, said the same source, adding that this individual was handed to the Tétouan judiciary police to complete the probe before bringing him to justice.
